Second Best Writer in the English Language
Next to Shakespeare Ogden Nash is the best english writer according to two players at BoardGameGeek.com . Nash undoubtedly played a few rounds of Scrabble in his career and I'm sure would be proud of this accolade from his peers.
Nash's Political Commentary
In her letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal about unfair tazation, Gilbert Stubbs of Wellesley, MA notes that:
The famous poet Ogden Nash wrote over 60 years ago that this line was pursued even then by class warfare politicians. In his very humorous poem, "The Politician," Nash wrote, "He gains votes ever and anew by taking money from everybody and giving it to a few, while explaining that every penny was extracted from the few to be giving to the many."
