Hope for the New Year

Ogden Nash's quote, remembered by this Arizona gardener, summarizes the circle of life at the dawn of a new year.

"When I remember by-gone days
I think how evening follows morn
so many I loved were not yet dead
so many I love were not yet born."

Makes you realize, that contrary to the popular adage, there are actually three, not two, sure things in this life: Death, Taxes...and Birth.
